Sweet & Sour Meatballs


1 pound beef or turkey
1/2 c bread crumbs
1/4 c milk
2 tblsp finely chopped onion
1 tsp salt
1/2 Worcestershire sauce
1 egg

Mix all ingredients. Shape into 1 1/2 in balls. Cook over medium heat, turning occasionally, about 20 minutes. Or cook at 400* until brown, about 20-25 minutes. Set aside.

1/2 c packed b. sugar
1 tbsp cornstarch
1 can (13 1/4oz) pineapple chunks
1/3 c vinegar
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 small green pepper, coarsely chopped

Mix brown sugar and cornstarch in skillet. Stir in pineapple with its juice, vinegar and soy sauce. Heat to boiling, stirring occasionally, reduce heat. Add meatballs. Cover, simmer, stirring occasionally, 10 minutes. Stir in green pepper. Cover, simmer until slightly tender, 5 minutes.

I serve this with cooked rice.

This recipe is great! If you have more than 3 adults I would double the recipe for sure!
