So this past week has been fun! More like gut wrenching!!!
Christian's tooth episode is over and I think the rest of the tooth coming in should be good.
But this week has been filled with MANY gasps, oohs, and ahhs! Christian has learned to pull himself up on the couch, the chairs, and the baby gate!! He crawls with no problem and he tries to get into everything. He goes to doors and knows that he can open and close them...more or less move them back and forth on the hinges. He knows how to fight his way to get something if he has to. He also knows how to feel his Bear Book :) He's a bright one, he is!!
So, since Christian has this new-found mobility...I don't get ANYTHING done during the day! haha. I have to do homework while he naps or when he eats for about 5 minutes in the high chair. Oy vey...we have our work cut out for us. But Matt is loving almost every second of this, minus the scary seconds where we are afraid he will fall. But Christian moving means Matt playing! He is very much looking forward to playing catch. He has his baseball mitt ready and in the hall closet for the day they get to practice :)
Everything else has been dandy here. Things have been great on the Keefer homefront and we couldn't be more blessed for everything we have. GOD IS GOOD!!

Houston: we have a molar!!
I feel like an absolutely mean and horrible Mommy. :(
Christian has been SO cranky the last week. I fed him, changed him, held him, played with him, fed him again, put him down for a nap, gave him to Matt....nothing seemed to help his crankiness. Come to find out...he has a MOLAR coming in on the bottom. Boy, did I feel like a schmuck for being so frustrated at him. I almost cried because I felt so bad.
I usually brush his teeth during his bath at night but the last few days I gave him a quick bath in the afternoon because he was either dirty or I knew it wouldn't get done later. So during those quick baths I never brushed his teeth. Well last night...there it was! You can see the 4 little white humps poking through. Just looking at it makes MY mouth hurt!!
So two things came out of finding his tooth. One - he doesn't have an ear infection! Two - he is taking his molar pretty well!! If all he is, is cranky and clingy then I'll take it!! I have heard some horror stories of babies teething. So very glad that he has taken it this well so far with all SEVEN teeth! :)

On a side note, I'm going to a get-together with some ladies from Bible study. Every Monday they try to get together with a lady named Nancy. We talk about something interesting we have read in the Bible lately (which will help me get back into the Word) and afterwards Nancy will either have a little message for us or a mini-devotional. I'm very excited to go to this as it will be my first time. I hope that I can make it every Monday.

This past Saturday we had game night at Ryan and Elizabeth's house. They are also from Bible study. We met a few of their friends and we really enjoyed ourselves. We stayed until 3am!!! We borrowed a pack and play and Christian slept upstairs while we all mingled and played board games. We hope to make this every week as well.
Well I think that is all for an update today. I've been keeping busy with baby and homework!!

School is upon us!
Spring semester is in full effect! If only I had my school books.... :( When I ordered them I chose the wrong part for one class. So Deb from the bookstore called me the day before classes started to let me know she caught it (I had ordered the books about 6 days before this). So she had to redo my order that morning and send out the books. So that STUNK! So here I sit on Sunday...still with no books. Most of my assignments are due the day I SHOULD get my books so it will be major catchup.
Anywho - Hopefully I'll have time to continue taking pictures for the website. And instead of copying ALL the pictures from Christmas I'm going to add some links that go to my Facebook albums. That will be much easier to view them since there are so many.
Nothing more I really wanted to say. Just that I'll be super busy and I'm trying to add some pictures in the middle of chasing Christian and doing some homework...with no books! haha!

Back in Hawaii after Christmas
Well we made it back! First class allllll the way and I'm never flying coach with a baby again :) It was NICE! The food was great and the space was fabulous.
It feels nice to be back. I didn't know we could run around that much. We were exhausted and are GLAD the week and a half is far behind us. Thank you all for a great Christmas vacation. We'll see you all again in Sept 2009!!!
~~
Well, now I have to get this out of the way. I know most of you that read the blog already know this but I feel that I have to explain it anyways.
Matt and I lost the baby. I miscarried at 10 weeks. Something I will NEVER forget. The entire thing was traumatizing and I pray I don't ever have to do it again. I think about our baby every day. It helped to be back home to forget about it for a bit but it was never far from my mind. I know that God has a plan for us and that having a baby was just not part of it. I can understand...but do I have to like it? No. I wonder what I could have done differently to keep the baby. Maybe there was something I shouldn't have done. Either way, I will always wonder why.
We wish we could have known if it was a boy or girl.
~~
Moving on.....Christian got his two top teeth while we were home in SD. One is still poking its way through so I think we have another week of runny noses and fussy eating.
~~
Christian was baptized on December 30th. It was a wonderful day and I can't wait to show Christian pictures when he is older :)
~~
Not much for an update after being back home for almost 2 weeks but most of you know what happened since you were there!! :D
I'll try to get pictures up as soon as I have way more time to just sit here and dink around with them all.
